I am an ordained Christian Minister serving as the Director of Evangelism and Apologetics at Defend the Word Ministries. I am also the co-founder of Defend the Word Ministries. I was not brought up in church. I was a former infantry U.S. Marine who was searching for the meaning of life and God answered the call. I received salvation at the age of 28. I have had the great pleasure of going to various states in the U.S., as well as Mexico, Canada, Europe, Africa, and Asia preaching the gospel (good news). I decided along the way to become formally educated in ministry. My secular education consists of an A.A. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I own CG Mechanical, LLC. My Christian education consists of a certificate in Scientific Apologetics from Reason Institute, B.A. in Theology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary and M.A. in Biblical Counseling and a PhD in Christian Philosophy and Apologetics from Trinity Theological Seminary. I support the Evangelical Philosophical Society, Evangelical Theological Society, Society of Christian Philosophers, International Society of Christian Apologetics (ISCA) and the International Association of Biblical Counselors (IABC). I am not presently but for years was a volunteer in my local Celebrate Recovery group at my home church, NorthPointe Church. My wife and I were in leadership through Celebrate Recovery's teens program called The Landing and I was also the Male Ministry Leader. Since my name starts with "G" and my PhD is in "God stuff" as the teens say it, my Landing youth call me "Dr. G." I love it because even in a simple name like "Dr. G", God is glorified. I was also a Reasons to Believe Chapter President and as well a Chapter Director for Ratio Christi at Kennesaw State University. I am a Co-leader for a Bible study group with my wife called Convergence. I am also a IBJJF registered 1st degree black belt in BJJ and a certified catch wrestler.
Apologetics means so much to me because I was one of those guys who just could not accept the circular reasoning argument that the Bible is real because the Bible says it is real. I was like Thomas and James. I needed proof. Apologetics using facts and logical arguments would have helped my unbelief. I was never called to pastor a church. Instead my calling is to lead the lost to salvation which comes from the Good News of Jesus Christ and help build up the saints using Theology and Apologetics. AMEN!!!

I am an ordained Christian Minister serving as the Women's Ministry Leader at Defend the Word Ministries, wife of Gene Williams and co-founder of Defend the Word Ministries. I am a faithful believer in Jesus Christ and have been for my entire life. I have struggled on my path as most have but fortunately for us all, our God is gracious and forgiving. I am an educator with a Masters degree in early childhood education from the University of West Georgia. I have a certificate in Scientific Apologetics from Reason Institute. I support the Society for the Advancement of Christian Education, SACE and the International Society of Women in Apologetics. God led me on my path many years ago but like most rebellious children, I eventually listened. Educating others is a passion and ministering to others spreads the word of my Savior. I was raised old southern Baptist but inevitably strayed from this path due to struggles in life. Through these struggles I came to know Jesus in an entirely different manner and realized the God I was raised to fear was a forgiving gracious Father who patiently awaited my return. I enjoyed being a part of Celebrate Recovery at my home church, NorthPointe Church, along with study groups. My husband and I were in leadership through Celebrate Recovery's teens program called The Landing and I supported him as the Male Ministry Leader for Celebrate Recovery. I am a Co-leader for a Bible study group with my husband called Convergence. In the future I hope to be involved in leadership in these programs and spread the word to other areas in need. I was also a Reasons to Believe Chapter Membership Coordinator and as well a Assistant Chapter Director for Ratio Christi at Kennesaw State University. When my husband became involved with apologetics I was startled based off of the belief system I was raised with but soon realized that this new understanding of the Word was what I needed to shore up my faith! We were soon led to spread this to people to help them defend the Word of Jesus. In my time I have often gave advise to friends quoting scripture about Jesus in the boat telling the disciples to Be Still! Ultimately I took my own advise and was awaken to a world of true peace and understanding of what God had in store for me all along. I pray peace and blessings to all!
